The Assonanza Duo – Jana Drhova and Mikulas Drha performs chamber music already from 1985 when their common, extraordinary strong musical consonance has come to light. The fundamental part of their repertory is mainly sonata work which – by means of the specifically clean tone of the piano together with the specifically warm tone of the violin – brings exceptionally soft vibrations. Good chamber music is usually free of pseudo-virtuosity clichés and therefore takes effect through the muse-inspired intuition of the composer directly on the listener’s heart, without pomposity.
